Aeroplane or Helicopter The Drakensberg is renowned amongst pilots of all kinds as one of the most pituresque and exciting places to fly in South Africa. Visits from some of the countries top gliding clubs and helicopter pilot training groups take place every year in our valley and the foothills of the Drakensberg. The “El Mirador” airstrip is a privately owned and operated airstrip just 3 Kilometers from the Nest Hotel and is one of the best airstrips in the area.
