As with cooaching clinics In Sunday Out Friday. Anyone may enter, and The Nest Hotel Bowls Club will always organise it’s own club bowlers to ensure that there is a meaningful competition by adding it’s own players to balance teams, avoid ‘By’s and arrange it such that ‘Strength will play against ‘Strengths’ or winners against winners. Even single entries are welcome and always have a good tournament and fun.

The format is such that in the mornings ‘RINKS’ or FOURS are played and in the afternoon either Tab’s in or a separate pair’s competition.

Prize giving is on Thursday’s at the candle lit dinner dance, with the first prize being one week’s free accommodation and participation in anyone of the next years Bowls Functions for each participant of the winning team (conditions apply), there are also cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd positions, depending on the number of entries.

A number of our tournaments are friendly internationals, with mainly British touring Bowlers playing against South African Bowlers. The British teams usually consist in part of good retired UK international players.

All the tournaments at The Nest Hotel are played in a great spirit of sportsmanship and a great deal of fun is had by all bowlers who take part in the tournaments.
